Cedar Park volleyball rolls to 10th win of the season | Prep Roundup

The red-hot Cedar Park Christian Eagles beat Forest Ridge in four games on the Ravens' home court Thursday night on game scores of 25-16, 25-14, 19-25 and 25-15 to improve to 10-1 on the season overall.

The red-hot Cedar Park Christian Eagles beat Forest Ridge 3-1 in a 1A Emerald City League contest on the Ravens’ home court Thursday night on game scores of 25-16, 25-14, 19-25 and 25-15 to improve to 10-1 on the season overall.

The Eagles’ offense had plenty of contributions, led by Lyndsay Palmer with 10 kills and seven aces, with Ari Gardner adding eight kills and J.J. Abbott seven.

Defensively, Palmer led the team with 15 digs, with Abbott and Kayla Zacharias (12 digs each) having fine defensive games.

 

Roosevelt, O’Connor top Bothell volleyball

Roughriders’ volleyball standout Sarah O’Connor had a performance for the ages on Thursday night at Bothell High, swatting a season-high 28 kills to lead her team to a 3-1 win over Bothell High with game scores of 25-27, 24-26, 25-13 and 25-15.

For the Cougars, Peircen Lundquist had 15 kills and 10 digs, followed by Katie Arneson with nine kills.

The loss evened Bothell’s record at 3-3 in 4A Kingco play and 4-4 overall.

 

Vikings lose in tiebreaker to Ballard

The Inglemoor volleyball squad went the distance against Ballard at home on Thursday night, losing to the Beavers 3-2 on game score of 25-13, 19-25, 24-26, 25-21 and dropping the tiebreaker 15-4.

For Inglemoor, senior Emily Carpenter had a game-high 16 kills, with Julian Sellard adding eight of her own. Libero Macie Cross led the team with 16 digs, and do-it-all setter Ari Hesterberg had 33 assists, 13 digs and four aces for the Vikings, who dropped to 2-4 (2-7) on the season.

 

Bothell tennis falls to Garfield

The Cougar tennis team lost three of four singles matches in a tight 4-3 loss to Garfield in a 4A Kingco tennis match on Thursday.

Winning for Bothell was Dakota Newton at No. 2 singles, beating Jared Storz 6-0, 7-5.

In doubles action, David Shormann and Tim Bultman defeated Quinn Buchwald and Whitt Seaverns in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, and Ayush Singh and Kevin Kalaf won their pro-set match eight games to five.

 

Newport golfers beat Bothell at Newcastle

Playing at the Golf Club at Newcastle, Newport’s home-course advantage led the Knights to a 201-208 win on Thursday afternoon in the team’s league finale.

Leading the way for Bothell was Max Tuckner, who fired a 2-over 38 to co-medal with Newport’s Judson Conwell. Also contributing for the Cougars was Gavin Stener with a 41.

The Cougars will be next playing at the Kingco 4A District Tournament at Willows Run Golf Club in Redmond on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
