Cedar Park’s Sam Drechsel named all-state MVP for 1A volleyball

Following a lights-out performance at the state volleyball tournament, Cedar Park Christian star Sam Drechsel now has one last feather in her cap — the Class 1A all-state MVP award.

Drechsel finished with 91 kills in the tournament, at which Cedar Park Christian took fifth overall. Drechsel recently signed to play for the University of Maryland.

Cedar Park’s Tess Biscup made the all-state second team along with twin Chloe Biscup.
