Cornett, Coston win PNW Pro-Amateur Championship

Amateur Kyle Cornett of Inglewood Golf Club in Kenmore teamed up with PGA professional Jeff Coston of Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club in Blaine to win the Pacific Golf & Turf Pro-Amateur Championship after posting rounds 61-65-126 — 17-under par in the Four-Ball team competition at Tumble Creek Club at Suncadia Resort and Rope Rider.

They won by four strokes over the teams of PGA professional Jeff Gove (PGA tour) and Darren Slackman of The Creek at Qualchan in Spokane and the team of PGA professional Ryan Whitaker of Tumble Creek Club and amateur Dan Whitaker of Ellensburg Golf and Country Club.

The Pacific Northwest Pro-Am is a two-man team competition with one professional and one amateur playing a four-ball format.
