Cougs notch first league win in double-OT/4A Boys Basketball

The Bothell boys basketball team ended a long stretch of frustration and near misses by earning its first 4A Kingco win, a 77-73 thriller in double overtime against Issaquah on Saturday night.

Bothell led the tight game, 33-32, at the half, with each team scoring within two points of each other for all four quarters of regulation to knot the score at 59-59.

Playing without a resting Zach Lavine, junior guard Prince Lacey stepped up in a big way, delivering a season-high 33 points to pace the Cougars, followed by senior forward Sasha Shealey’s 25, also a season best.
