Goal Rush beats Aces to advance to state | Youth soccer

The Northshore Youth Soccer team Goal Rush defeated the Lake Washington Youth Soccer team the Aces for the Boys Under 12 (BU12) Recreation Cup District 2 Finals, 3-2 in overtime.

The Northshore Youth Soccer team Goal Rush defeated the Lake Washington Youth Soccer team the Aces for the Boys Under 12 (BU12) Recreation Cup District 2  Finals, 3-2 in overtime.

The Goal Rush got on the board first as Sean Mulcare scored with an assist from Kincaid Schmitt during the fifth minute of the game. During the eighth minute of the second half Brady Anderson gave the NYS team a 2-0 lead with an assist from Mulcare. The Aces came back, tying the game with two goals before the end of regulation.

Goal Rush made one last push on offense, as Mulcare followed a shot and ricochet off the Aces’ goalkeeper from James Monson at the 2:10 mark of the overtime.

Goal Rush keeper Nathan Schuh had nine saves.

The Northshore team will now take on the District 5 team from Vancouver during the state finals on Dec. 1.
