Inglemoor begins postseason with four-game win | Prep volleyball

The Inglemoor High School volleyball team began the postseason Thursday with a 3-1 victory against Mount Si.

The Inglemoor High School volleyball team continued its postseason run Thursday with a 3-1 victory against Mount Si at Skyline High School.

The Vikings began the match with a 25-21 victory but then lost a close game two, 26-24. But Inglemoor would not be denied as they crushed the Wildcats during the third game, 25-17, and then advanced in the KingCo tournament with a 25-21 fourth-game victory.

The Vikings were led by Haley Harris with 16 kills, while Emily Melillo finished with 34 assists. Kate Carpenter led the team on defense with 23 digs.

The win keep the team alive after losing to Eastlake and then beating Bothell.

The team will play Newport at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Skyline High School.
