Inglemoor boys lose, girls win at holiday tournaments

The Monroe High boys basketball team put together a big fourth quarter to rally past Inglemoor, 69-60, in the second round of the Bellevue College tournament on Thursday in Bellevue.

Inglemoor (2-6) led by one after three quarters, but but Monroe outscored the Vikings 22-12 in the final period for a spot in the tournament title game on Dec. 30.

Next, Inglemoor is set to play Decatur at 6 p.m. on Dec. 30.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Senior Amanda Luckett scored 24 points for the Inglemoor High girls basketball team on Thursday, leading the Vikings to a 63-61 win over Franklin Pierce on Dec. 29 at Franklin High School in Seattle.

Luckett also had 12 rebounds, helping the Vikings (4-4) snap a three-game losing streak.

Senior Emily Massad had 11 points eight rebounds and seven assists.

Next, the Vikings are scheduled to play Garfield at 3:50 p.m. on Dec. 30 at Franklin High School.
