The Inglemoor boys swim team finished third during the 4A Sea-King District meet held Saturday at Mary Wayte Pool on Mercer Island behind a strong performance from senior Casey Colella.
Colella came up with a big swim in the 200 Individual Medley, taking first at districts with a time of 1:51.21. Teammate Mateusz Merchel finished fifth during the race (2:02.71) and second in the 100 backstroke (54.76).
Colella was third during the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.68, while teammate Josaiah Clark finished sixth with a time of 1:01.94.
Matt Yusen took second during two district championship races. During the 50 freestyle Yusen finished with a time of 22.44 and 49.87 in the 100 freestyle for Inglemoor.
The Viking 200 medley relay team of Seth Birrell, Clark, Merchel and Yusen finished third with a time of 1:41.50.
The team of Colella, Fisher Munro, Majid Al Hadrami and Clark took fourth during the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:34.63.
Colella, Yusen, Birell and Merchel finished fourth during the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:22.68.
Birrell was disqualified during the finals of the 100 backstroke but still finished sixth.
The team will compete at the state meet this weekend at the King County Aquatic Center.
