Inglemoor High boys hoops / At a glance

Head coach: Greg Lowell, 22nd season

Last year: 12-4, second in 4A Kingco, seventh at 4A state tournament

2009 turnout: 55 players

TOP RETURNERS

Jr. Andy Nwaelele, point guard: Natural leader and great ball-handler got to start and gain experience last year as a sophomore.

Sr. Paul Jorg, center: One of Kingco’s tallest kids and nearly impossible to defend at 6-foot-9, look for him to be a rebounding machine and shot blocker.

Jr. Brady Gregor, forward: The second of the Vikings’ twin towers at 6-foot-7, he’s very good around the basket.

KEY NEWCOMERS

Sr. Alex Auerbach, forward: Last year’s JV leader is currently recovering from an injury. At 6-foot-6, when he is healthy, he will add even more depth to the Vikings at the post position.

Jr. Lantz Rudolph, guard: Excellent all-around athlete also ran track and played football for the Vikings.

KEY GAME

Jan. 5, 7:30 p.m., at Garfield

The Vikings open up their 2010 schedule hungry for a rematch of the 2008-09 Kingco championship game against the Bulldogs, with both teams having lost key players.

DID YOU KNOW?

Despite having only four seniors on the team, the Vikings have four rostered varsity players listed at 6-foot-6 or taller.
