Inglemoor moves to 3-0 with nonconference win over Interlake | Prep boys’ tennis

The Inglemoor High boys' tennis team moved to 3-0 on Monday, Sept. 12 with a hard-fought nonconference victory over Interlake at Inglemoor High School.

The Inglemoor High boys’ tennis team moved to 3-0 on Monday, Sept. 12 with a hard-fought nonconference victory over Interlake at Inglemoor High School.

Senior Frederick Huyan led the way with a tight win over Interlake’s Kobe Sarausad, with two of the three sets needing extra points. Huyan, Inglemoor’s No. 1 singles players, edged Sarausad 7-6, 4-6, 0-4.

James Peng and Athil George picked up straight-set victories for Inglemoor in singles play. Jun Yung Jung beat Alex Wang for the only Interlake win in singles.

Inglemoor won the top two doubles matches as well. Max Chiang and Edward Yang won their No. 1 doubles match 6-2, 6-3, end Eric Zhu and Brian Xie won their match 6-2, 6-4.

Next, Inglemoor is scheduled to continue KingCo play with a home match against Eastlake on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
