Inglemoor, North Creek and Cedar Park win football contests

Inglemoor won a thrilling 42-41 matchup against Newport on Friday night in 4A KingCo football action.

After trailing 28-14 after three quarters, the Viks rallied to win in the final two minutes. The game was deadlocked at 14-14 at halftime.

Vik quarterback Kolby Solomon connected with Quentin Moore for a 9-yard scoring pass for the game-winner.

Solomon had a banner game with three touchdown passes and two scoring runs. He was 8-of-12 for 141 yards passing and had 14 carries for 130 yards.

Moore had another TD catch for 21 yards and Michael Keating snagged a 2-yard TD pass. Trevor Thurman scored on a 5-yard run and Solomon tallied on the ground from 3 and 10 yards.

Braden Dick nailed all six PATs.

The Viks are 2-0 in league and 5-1 overall.

* Woodinville defeated Bothell, 17-10, on Friday.

Bothell, which led 10-0 in the second quarter, scored on a 4-yard pass from Erik Bainter to Blake Bickhaus.

Bainter was 20-for-29 passing for 170 yards, and Riley Morrison caught 11 passes for 117 yards.

Bothell is 1-1 in league and 4-2 overall.

* North Creek defeated Redmond, 31-10, last Thursday in football action. The Jaguars are 1-2 in league and 4-2 overall.

Shea Hoogerwerf scored two touchdowns and ran the ball 18 times for 125 yards, and Jaden Landagora scored once and toted the ball 16 times for 73 yards.

* Cedar Park Christian beat South Whidbey, 35-20, in 1A North Sound Conference play on Friday.

Zach Wilkins scored on runs of 7 and 1 yards, Johny Petrus scored on a 15-yard run and a 43-yard pass from Deegan Csigi and Brandon Parrish tallied on a 10-yard run.

Wilkins gained 177 yards on 28 carries and Petrus rumbled for 97 yards on seven carries.

The Eagles are 2-0 in league and 4-1 overall.
