The Inglemoor High School boys soccer team earned its first state playoff win since 2007 by beating Puyallup 4-3 Tuesday at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell.

The Vikings earned the victory by winning a shootout 6-5, as Christian Nesselquist scored the game-winning goal.

But the game was not easy and the Vikings found themselves down 2-0 after just 12 minutes of play.

Inglemoor waited until the 34th minute to get its first point, as Mehron Abdi scored unassisted to cut the lead in half, 2-1.

Kyle Zimmerman tied the game with an assist by Nesselquist during the 48th minute of play.

Inglemoor took its first lead of the game during the 75th minute, when Clint Absher found teammate Derek Khun for a goal. But Puyallup came right back to tie the game seconds later to force the shootout.

The Vikings will play the winner of the game tonight between Mariner and Jackson.
