Bothell’s Katie Arneson slammed home a game-high 13 kills, followed by Lexie Bedell with eight and four service aces.

Defensively, Sarah Baillargeon dug up 19 balls while setter Allie Hadley recorded 22 assists and 15 digs.

With the loss, Bothell is 2-2 overall and 0-1 in 4A Kingco league play.

 

Viking volleyball wins thriller against Issaquah

Behind the team-high 16 kills of hitter Morgan Trahan, the Inglemoor volleyball squad won a five-set marathon against Issaquah 3-2 on Tuesday night at home in their 4A Kingco opener

After losing the first game 25-23, the Viks stormed back to dominate games two and three 25-18 and 25-14, before the Eagles turned the tide to win 25-17 in game four.

In the race-to-15 tiebreaker, the Eagles and Vikings found themselves knotted at 14-14, with the home team coming through with two clutch points to win 16-14.

Emily Carpenter shined on both offense (13 kills) and defense (15 digs), with Macie Cross notching 17 digs of her own.

Setter Ellie Swanson recorded 30 assists as the Vikings improved to 1-3 overall.

 

Mustangs go low against Bothell at home

Playing at the friendly confines of their home course, Bear Creek Country Club, the Redmond boys’ golf team took four of the top five scoring spots in a 199-220 win over Bothell.

Jimbo Curtin medaled with a 2-over 38, followed by Lyle Rudnicki with a 39 and Jackson Safon and Oliver Rudnicki each carding 40s.

Low man for Bothell was Gavin Stener with a 41 as the Cougars dropped to 1-3 in league play.

 

Inglemoor golfers notch first win

Playing at home at Inglewood Country Club, the Vikings won their first 4A Kingco golf match of the season 221-232.

Kyle McCaul medaled with a 3-over-par round of 40, followed by Cole Hublou with a 43 and Shane Derrick with a 44.

With the win, the Vikings improved to 1-4 on the season.

 

Cedar Park runners place high at Kelsey Creek

Running at the annual Kelsey Creek Runs on Tuesday afternoon, Cedar Park’s cross country teams performed well, taking first in the boys’ division and second in the girls’ division.

For the boys, Kyle Cole placed third in 17 minute, 31.22 seconds, followed by teammate Connor Macdonald in 17:39.24.

On the girls’ side, Sally Larson placed second in 19:23.80 behind Northwest School phenom Maddie Meyers, who won by over a minute in 18:19.21.
