Lady Cougar basketball camp coming up

The Bothell girls select basketball program will be hosting a four-day camp for girls entering grades 5-9 from July 18-21 at the Bothell High gymnasium. The camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include work stations to improve basketball skills, contests, awards and two full games per day of camp. In addition, all campers will receive a camp T-shirt.

The camp, which costs $150, will be coached by former University of Washington men’s player and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year Mike Hayward and current high-school players in the Bothell select program.

Hayward also played professionally in Europe and has more than 25 years of coaching and directing experience with detailed focus on game fundamentals. The camp will also feature Kristi Kingma from the UW women’s team, as well as a Seattle Storm player as guest speakers.
