Local swimmers, divers are set for state

Bothell High girls swimming records have fallen this season, and two of those girls responsible for shredding the water — sophomores Mariah Williamson and Tiffany Dang — are headed to the 4A state championships this weekend at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

Williamson will compete in the 200-yard freestyle (Bothell record: 1 minute, 57.87 seconds), 500-yard freestyle (Bothell record: 5 minutes, 11.11 seconds) and in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Dang will tackle the 100-yard backstroke (Bothell record: 1 minute, 47 seconds), 50-yard freestyle and 200 free relay.

The Cougar 200 free relay will also consist of Emily Anthony and Raynie Hultgren. Bothell divers qualifying for state are Hultgren and Kelsey Meyer.

Coug alternates are Tenetta Walker, Stephanie Bultman, Anna Korn and Madisen Reda.

Inglemoor High’s state qualifiers are:

• Claire Thompson — 50 free, 100 back, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay

• Leann Yee — 50 free, 100 free, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay

• Chelsey Seefeld — both relays

• Liane Lovitt — 200 free relay

• Leigh Haldeman — 200 medley relay

• Misha Olynyk — 100 fly, 200 medley relay

• Lindsay Bowker — diving

• Kate Stratton — diving
