Squad features Eric Johnson of Bothell and John Pfeil of Kenmore.

A local foursome — featuring Eric Johnson of Bothell and John Pfeil of Kenmore — placed third in the Liberty Mutual Insurance Invitational National Finals at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, March 21-25.

The squad, which also includes David Foster of Seattle and Jamie Meade of Redmond, qualified for the national event by winning their local Liberty Mutual Insurance Invitational held at The Golf Course at Newcastle on July 24, 2017, which supported Sea Mar Community Health Center.

They played two rounds on The Ocean Course and a round on both Osprey Point and Turtle Point Golf Courses at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort and scored 61, 65, 68 and 63 for a total of 257. Nancy Lopez, the LPGA star and World Golf Hall of Fame inductee, presented the golfers with their trophies.

The Liberty Mutual Insurance Invitational National Finals is the culmination of a series of more than 75 charity golf tournaments around the country in 2017 hosted by Liberty Mutual and local and national charitable organizations that raised more than $9 million for charity.
