Mount Si rolls past Inglemoor in KingCo opener | Prep baseball

The Mount Si Wildcats pulled away from the Inglemoor Vikings in their KingCo opener on Monday, scoring nine runs over the game’s final three innings to beat Inglemoor 11-1 at Inglemoor High School.

Carson Cora, Gavin Gorrell and Spencer Marenco each registered two hits for Mount Si (2-2, 1-0 in KingCo), while Spencer Marenco and Mason Marenco each drove in two runs.

Jake Simmons earned the win from the mound for Mount Si, allowing one earned run off four hits while striking out six.

Sean Kauffman went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Vikings (3-3, 0-1). Teammate Kyle Malsam batted 1-for-2 while scoring the team’s only run.

Inglemoor will take on Eastlake (4-2, 1-0) at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Inglemoor High School.
