Storther selected as WIAA Athlete of the Week

Each week throughout the school year, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) recognizes twelve varsity athletes, a male and a female from each of the six classifications, who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week.

Each week throughout the school year, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) recognizes twelve varsity athletes, a male and a female from each of the six classifications, who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week.

Inglemoor High School senior Deja Strother was selected by WIAA staff as Athletes of the Week for achievements in Basketball.

Strother collected 15 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks to lead the Vikings to a 42-30 victory over Monroe in a Class 4A regional game at Bothell High School.

In recognition of her accomplishment she receives a congratulatory letter from WIAA Executive Director, Mike Colbrese, a commemorative WIAA State Athlete of the Week t-shirt, and a certificate. Winners are also posted to the WIAA website at www.wiaa.com.
