The Cedar Park Christian football team had a hard time slowing down Andy Sam on Saturday, Sept. 17 as the runningback led Sultan to a 35-7 Cascade Conference win at Sultan High School.

The Cedar Park Christian football team had a hard time slowing down Andy Sam on Saturday, Sept. 17 as the runningback led Sultan to a 35-7 Cascade Conference win at Sultan High School.

Sam scored three touchdowns — two rushing and one receiving, and finished with 130 all-purpose yards for the Turks (1-0 Cascade, 3-0).

Andrew Britton scored the lone touchdown for Cedar Park (0-1, 2-1), connecting with quarterback Jack Flynn on an 80-yard pass play near the end of the first half.

It was the only completion of the day for Flynn, who went 1-12 with two interceptions.

Sultan held Cedar Park to negative rushing yards.

Next, Cedar Park is scheduled to continue conference play against Granite Falls (1-2) on Friday, Sept. 23 at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland.
