Three district wrestling champs from Kenmore, Bothell

Bothell and Inglemoor High School wrestlers took part in the 4A Region 2 tournament on Friday at Inglemoor High School in Kenmore.

Bothell and Inglemoor High School wrestlers took part in the 4A Region 2 tournament on Friday at Inglemoor High School in Kenmore.

Bothell finished eighth and Inglemoor finished ninth out of 17 schools. Bothell had two wrestlers win their weight class, while Inglemoor had one. Each team had five wrestlers place in the top six in their respective weight class.

Virgil Smith of Bothell won the 152-pound weight class, while teammate Aaron Ibanez finished first in the 192-pound weight class. Riley Seward of Inglemoor won the 145-pound weight class tournament.

All three wrestlers will take a No. 1 seed into the Mat Classic state wrestling tournament, held at the Tacoma Dome this weekend.

Caleb Brejda (182 pounds) and Andy Pham (138 pounds) took fourth in their respective weight classes for Inglemoor.

Colton Moser (220 pounds) Dawson Everett (285 pounds) and Bryce Ames (106 pounds) all took sixth for Bothell.

J.O. Lane (170 pounds), Nathan Harshman (152 pounds) and Eric Wang (145 pounds) all took sixth for Inglemoor.
