Bothell High School’s Zach LaVine and Perrion Callandret are among 814 high school seniors nation wide who have been nominated to play in the 2013 McDonald’s All American Games.
“I couldn’t be happier to see these young athletes be recognized for what they do,” said David Santillanes, President of the McDonald’s Western Washington Owners Association. “The McDonald’s All American Games presents a real opportunity to preview the country’s up-and-coming basketball talent, we’re very excited to have our cities represented by these outstanding players.”
This year’s list boasts players from 39 states and the District of Columbia who have been selected by high school coaches, athletic directors, principals and members of the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee.
Western and Eastern Washington had 26 players selected to the list.

The final roster of 24 boys and 24 girls, who will be selected to play in the 2013 Games, will be announced during the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Show on ESPNU at 2 p.m. on Feb. 14.
The 36th Annual Boys Game will tip-off on April 3 at 8:30 p.m. CT from Chicago’s United Center and will be broadcast on ESPN. Information regarding tickets for the 2013 McDonald’s All American Games is available at Ticketmaster. Tickets for the 2013 Games go on sale Jan. 19. Tickets start at $10 and include free parking.
Net proceeds from the Games will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). The Games have raised more than $10 million for RMHC since its inception in 1978.
