Vashon Island outlasts Cedar Park | Prep boys soccer

The Cedar Park Christian boys soccer team lost to Vashon Island on Saturday despite scoring five goals. One of those goals was scored on their own net, as the Eagles lost 5-4 at home in Bothell.

Cedar Park took a 1-0 lead, as Jack McDonald assisted Alex Ballard during the seventh minute play. Vashon Island tied the game back up with a goal of its own one minute later. Eagle Alex Ballard assisted David Grigoryan during the 10th minute of play and McDonald assist Ballard again four minutes later to extend the lead to 3-1.

The Eagles scored a fourth time but it was on their own goal, cutting the lead to 3-2.

Josh Christianson would make up for it on a penalty kick to reclaim a two-goal lead.

But Vashon Island goals during the 58th and 61st minutes of play tied the contest at 4-4.

The visitors scored the winning goal during the 76th minute.
