Tied at 1-1 heading into the third, the Vikings scored 11 runs over the next three innings to blow the Wolverines away, highlighted by a Taylor Peacocke home run.

Peacocke went 3-for-5 on the day and was a triple away from the cycle, with Bella Montoya going 3-for-4 with three runs scored.

Izzy Riddle, a freshman, also went deep for the Vikings, blasting a 3-run shot in the scoring onslaught.

The girls are scheduled to play tonight on the road against Juanita at 4:30 p.m.

 

Bothell boys give up eight-spot to O’Dea in loss

After beating 5-2 in their season opener last week, the defending state champion Cougars suffered one bad inning to 3A champion Mount Si at home on Tuesday, losing 10-1.

Trailing 2-1 after four innings, the Wildcat bats came alive in the fifth as Mount Si plated eight runs to put the game out of reach.

For Bothell, Sam Lee led the offense, going 2-for-3, as Zach Anderson added a double.

After getting rained out last night, the Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday on the road against Roosevelt, their league opener, at 3:45 p.m.

 

Cedar Park soccer stays perfect after Bush shutout

The Eagles’ boys soccer team improved to 3-0 this season after shutting out the Bush Blazers 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Conner MacDonald scored Cedar Park’s only goal, in the 50th minute, while Daniel Christianson notched his second shutout of the year.

The boys play again tonight against league powerhouse Overlake, at home, at 4:30 p.m.
