The visiting Inglemoor Vikings came from behind in the first set and carried that momentum through a 3-0 sweep of the Redmond Mustangs on Tuesday night.

Facing a 15-9 deficit, the Vikings rallied with seven straight points to take the lead and then six more to close out the first set 25-19, before winning the next two by scores 25-15 and 25-19.

For the Vikings, Julia Haining and Emily Carpenter led the offense with eight kills each, with Ellie Swanson contributing 25 assists and libero Macie Cross with 17 digs.

With the win, Inglemoor improved to 2-1 in 4A Kingco play and 2-4 overall.

Cougar volleyball loses five-set thriller to Eastlake

The Bothell High volleyball team gave it their all, but fell in a fifth-set tiebreaker to Eastlake on Tuesday night, at Eastlake, 3-2.

After edging the Wolves 26-24 in the first set, the Cougars lost sets two and three before coming back 25-20 win set four.

Eastlake jumped out to an early lead and the Cougars were never able to gain momentum in the tiebreaker, losing 15-5.

Bothell setter Allie Hadley had a team-high 10 kills, to go along with 13 assists and 26 digs. Amanda Ernster had six kills for the Cougars as they dropped to 1-2 in 4A Kingco play and 2-3 overall.

Palmer leads Cedar Park to sweep

Cedar Park Christian’s eighth-ranked volleyball team (1A) won three close games to sweep Annie Wright Academy on Tuesday night 3-0 on set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-22.

For the Eagles, Lyndsay Palmer slammed home 13 kills to go with 12 digs and three aces, with Amy Merkle adding nine kills.

The win elevated Cedar Park to 2-0 in 1A Emerald City League contests and 6-1 overall.

Bothell tennis falls to Issaquah

The Bothell boys’ tennis team was able to salvage one singles match in a 6-1 loss to Issaquah on Tuesday afternoon in a 4A Kingco league match.

Daniel Fredrickson scored the lone point for the Cougars, battling from behind in a 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 win over David Park.

Inglemoor swimmers win another double dual

Swimming in another 4A Kingco double-dual meet against Eastlake and Redmond, the Viking girls emerged victorious with 100-83 and 112-70 wins over the Wolves and Mustangs, respectively.

Highlights for the Vikings included the 200 medley relay team of Leann Yee, Sage Speak, Kayla Robertson and Marine Behr winning in 1 minute, 56.49 seconds; Yee taking the 50 free in 25.57; Robertson winning the 100 free in 56.19; Speak winning the 100 breast in 1:10.50 and the 400 free relay team of Yee, Robertson, Behr and Speak placing first in that event in 3:48.82.

On the diving board, Jackie Tabone won wit a cumulative score of 145.30.
