One of the lowest-scoring games of the season for both teams, defense was at a premium as neither team was able to get consistent good looks at the basket.

The Vikings led 27-23 after three quarters and held the Cougars to just 10 points in the fourth quarter for the win.

Inglemoor senior forward Adam McElwee and Bothell guard Devin Willis led all scorers with 15 points, with no other players scoring more than six.

The victory was Inglemoor’s fourth in a row and boosted its conference record to 9-3 and overall record to 12-4, while Bothell dropped to 6-5 in league and 7-8 for the season.

Earlier in the week, Bothell defeated Newport, 55-41.

Cedar Park Christian

With a team high of 17 points, junior Tommy McCullough led Cedar Park Christian in its 47-31 victory against Seattle Academy last Thursday. Center Ethan Gutheil added eight points while teammate Victor Sviridyuk contributed six points..

Dozens of Cedar Park fans and students converged into the Bellevue Christian gym to cheer on their Eagles last Saturday. A section of blue attracted all eyes as the Cedar Park group dressed entirely blue for what it called a “Blue Out.” Unfortunately, the accumulation of their student section was not enough for the Eagles to overpower Bellevue Christian in a 69-41 loss. Senior Brandon Duffy scored 12 points while fellow senior Gutheil had seven.

In girls’ action at Northwest School, Cedar Park fought hard for its 40-30 victory last Wednesday. With 23 points, Mattie Shelford scored the most individual points on the court that night by far. Senior Brittany Kragerud trailed Shelford with seven points.

Cedar Park anticipated a difficult matchup against Seattle Academy last Thursday. The Eagles began strong during the first two quarters, but could not withstand Seattle Academy’s shooters as they won the battle, 60-36. Shelford scored 13 points while junior Alyssa Lundberg and sophomore Mikaela Rashick each added four points.

Last Saturday afternoon, fans came to support their lady Eagles. With 14 points, Rashick took the point lead, while Shelford carried 11 points in the 55-30 loss to Bellevue Christian.
