Volleyball: Bothell beats Eastside Catholic 3-1 in home opener

The Bothell High volleyball team cruised to a 3-1 nonconference victory over Eastside Catholic on Tuesday at Bothell High School.

The Cougar seniors (1-0) promised to “dominate” the KingCo schedule, and the team’s seniors delivered in the season opener.

Bothell won 25-21, 27-25, 25-18, 25-22, led by 15 kills from senior Captain Alexa Torres. Fellow senior Camille Gilmore had 10 kills.

Sydney Cowan, Gabby Kepley and Maddie Butters each had seven kills.

Alisa Kim led defensively with 31 digs.

Next, Bothell is scheduled to play Shorecrest at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8 at Bothell High School.
