The following is a release from the Snohomish County Sports Commission:

Aaron Wilson has joined the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau as Sports Sales and Events Coordinator, effective Feb. 2. In this newly created position, he will support the bureau’s sports marketing efforts by assisting sports event planners in promoting, planning and conducting sporting events in Snohomish County.

The sports marketing department of the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau is branded as the Snohomish County Sports Commission, responsible for increasing Snohomish County’s prominence as sporting events destination. Wilson reports to Sports Development Manager Tammy Dunn, CSEE.

Wilson gained extensive experience with the Everett Silvertips Hockey Club in Everett, Wash. from 2003 to 2014, serving in a key account sales and marketing position for this Western Hockey League franchise. He also worked seasonally for the Tacoma Rainiers Baseball Club in 2003, managing ticketing operations, and the Everett Aquasox Professional Baseball Club in 2002, assisting with marketing.

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul, Minn.
