At approximately 10:40 p.m. Dec. 17, a woman and her 12-year-old daughter were walking into a restaurant located in the 22900 block of the Bothell Everett Highway in Bothell. As they were walking, she was approached from behind by an unknown subject who grabbed her purse strap, pushing her and causing her to stumble onto a bench.

The woman held onto her purse, and the suspect fled on foot. The crime was immediately reported to the police. A police canine track of the suspect was attempted, but he was not located.

The suspect was described as being a white male, approximately 5’11” tall with a thin build and possible facial hair, wearing jeans.

A video surveillance camera captured footage of the incident, and the video is being analyzed by detectives.

The Bothell Police Department is actively investigating this assault, and anyone with additional information is asked to contact the police department tip line at (425) 487-5551.
