New store owner brings fashion to Country Village

When Nicole Wright moved from Bellevue to Bothell, she fell in love with Country Village because of its small town, country feel.

“I came from Iowa so I am a country girl at heart,” she said. “Country Village felt like home to me.”

Wright decided this was the place to open the clothing store she always dreamed of. Chic Done Wright is a funky, edgy boutique that opened last month.

“I’ve always wanted to own my own store,” Wright said. “It was hard to find an opening at the village and I jumped at the opportunity once this spot became available.”

Chic Done Wright offers clothing, accessories, trinkets and bath and body products from local sellers and Los Angeles. The demographic is for women ages 20 and older.

“We won’t ever have the same things in the store all the time, we get new stuff here once a week,” Wright said. “Once you see something you like, better pick it up right away or it will be gone.”

Wright says business in Bothell has been good so far.

“Bothell is an up and coming town and it seems to be growing and thriving,” she said. “I am super excited to be here in Bothell, there aren’t a lot of fashion stores here and it’s nice to bring a new market to the city.”

Wright has been interested in fashion since she was a young girl.

“I came from the theater industry where I would put outfits together for plays and people would always tell me I had a really good eye,” she said. “Fashion was always just a natural part of my life.”

Along with serving as owner, Wright is also a stylist for the store.

“I love to help women find the perfect clothes,” she said.

Wright hopes the public views Chic Done Wright as a local hot spot.

“I’m hoping that people like it and that I can stay in business for a long time,” she said. “I want this to be a great place for people to come hang out as well as shop.”

Wright also brought her styling talent to the building, decorating the store and painting it herself.

“I really wanted it to have a hip, trendy feel to it,” she said.

Wright wasn’t intimidated to start a store in the midst of a struggling economy.

“This is my dream and I’m willing to take the risk,” she said. “But I do feel like the economy is picking up and it’s a great time right now to start a business.”

Chic Done Wright is located at 826 237th St. SE, Suite B.
