Bothell boys soccer ends season at state

Todd Beamer beat Bothell, 2-1, in the first round of the 4A boys state soccer tournament on Wednesday at Federal Way Memorial Field.

Bothell scored in the 10th minute off a corner kick from Cole Baker to Gian Herrera’s head. Beamer scored in stoppage time in the first half to tie it up, and then notched its second goal with seven minutes left in the game on a penalty kick to win.

Coach Shaun Warner said it was a great season for the Cougars and he’s extremely proud of his group of guys.
