Bothell High School junior Janelle Chamberlin was honored with the Top Senior of Washington State award from the Washington State 4-H event at the Puyallup Fair on Sept. 22 with her combined overall score in Obedience and Showmanship.

She won the award with her dog Hudson, a Field Spaniel.

Chamberlin, 16, entered the state-level 4-H competition after winning the Grand Champion title at the Evergreen State Fair earlier in the summer.

She has been in 4-H for four years and will be participating in the American Kennel Club/Eukanuba Championship in Orlando, Fla. in December. She works with her Snohomish County 4-H group Pawsabilities as a mentor, getting younger kids involved with 4-H activities.
