Bothell’s Kolden places third at Washington State Fair in textiles competition

A Bothell resident had a good showing during the textiles competition at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup this week. Tara Kolden’s original design in Creative Stitchery for a Counted Thread textile placed third overall.

Participants showcased their talent for the judges to critique based on overall quality and creativity.

Her creation will remain on display until the end of the fair on Sept. 22.
