Epiphany Lutheran Church in Kenmore celebrated its second annual “Rise, Reach Out & Shine” Day of Service, on Sept. 14. Approximately 75 congregation members, friends, and community residents joined together to accomplish various service projects in Kenmore, Bothell and Kirkland, with a goal of making a difference in the community.

“We’re delighted to have this opportunity to serve our community,” said Linda Hohengarten, Epiphany’s Day of Service Co-Chair. “Our congregation is honored to share our time and talents through these local service projects and we appreciate the support and ideas provided by the cities of Kenmore, Bothell and Kirkland.”

The various service projects included quilting with blankets donated to the Northshore Senior Center, book sharing and story reading for young children, Sammamish Trail water stations, yard work for Bothell Seniors and Reach Out and Sing for local senior care facilities in the area, among other activities.
