Cougars maul Eagles for mercy-rule win | Prep softball

The Bothell High School softball team beat Issaquah, 11-1, in five innings on Tuesday at home.
The teams were tied at 0-0 heading into the bottom of the third when the Bothell bats came alive and scored all 11 runs in three innings.
The Cougars were led by Brooke Powers with four RBI, Megan Marino with two RBI and Megan Powers, Leah Sailer and Olivia Aasen with an RBI each.
Janell Martin picked up the win by throwing five innings, walking one and striking out two.
Bothell looks to continue the momentum at 4 p.m. on Monday at Mount Si High School against the Wildcats.
