Inglemoor advances in KingCo tournament by defeating Newport | Prep boys basketball

The Inglemoor High School boys basketball team defeated Newport, 53-39, on Friday at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland during the 4A KingCo tournament.

The first half was a battle of wills, as the two teams entered halftime tied 18-18.

But the second half was all Vikings, as the team built a five-point lead during the third quarter and then finished off the Knights with a 22-13 fourth-quarter advantage.

Ryan Hamilton led Inglemoor with 17 points, while teammate Jalen Woodley had 11 points.

With the win, Inglemoor advanced to play Northshore rival Bothell at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland.
