Inglemoor loses on walk-off homer | Prep softball

The Inglemoor High softball team gave up a pair of home runs in a 2-1 KingCo loss to Skyline High on Monday in Sammamish.

The Vikings (7-3 overall, 4-2) took a 1-0 lead on an RBI double from Ashley Gregory during the top of the first inning, and held Skyline scoreless until the sixth inning.

Skyline put two runners on base during the bottom of the fifth, but finally broke through during the bottom of the sixth inning on a home run from Lauren Lo.

Shayna Swanson hit a walk-off home run during the bottom of the seventh to win the game for Skyline.

Next, the Vikings are scheduled to play Eastlake High at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in Kenmore.
