The Bothell High softball team simply didn’t have the tools to slow down Woodinville on Wednesday, nor the firepower to keep up in a 15-1 loss at Bothell High School.

Woodinville (14-2 overall, 16-3) won for the sixth consecutive game, clinching the top seed in the upcoming Class 4A KingCo league tournament.

Brooke Powers hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning, but the Cougars (6-14, 4-12) managed only three hits in the game.

The Cougars finished seventh overall in the league standings, just outside of the final spot in the league tournament. Wednesday marked the final game for Bothell seniors Esther Townsend, Chloe Lium and Powers.
