The Cedar Park Christian baseball team defeated Life Christian Thursday 2-1 in extra innings Thursday. Both teams scored a run during the first inning and then went scoreless.

But the big story was the pitching of Josh Thompson who threw nine innings, giving up just seven hits and the one run, while striking out seven hitters.

Adrian Vela went 1-for-3 with an RBI triple.
