A 32-year-old Bothell man is in custody on two counts of burglary after police said he tried to break into two homes yesterday.
Around 12:30 p.m., Bothell police were dispatched to the 20300 block of 126th Avenue Northeast after a woman who was at home called her husband saying someone had tried to break in, a post on the Bothell Police Blog said.
The man reviewed a web-based security camera feed, and after seeing a man wearing a stocking cap and dark colored jacket, called the police.
Later, around midnight, another attempted break in was reported in the 12700 block of Northeast 200th Place.
When police arrived they found a partially removed window screen and a neighbor’s security camera captured a vehicle which matched the one reported earlier, according to the blog.
A police officer later saw a vehicle in the Holly Hills neighborhood which matched the one seen in security footage and the man driving it appeared to match the suspect description.
The man was booked into King County jail on two counts of residential burglary.
