Senate race/Murray picks up 49 percent support to Rossi’s 47 percent in latest Rasmussen Reports phone survey

According to a July 30 Rasmussen Reports post regarding its latest telephone survey, Democratic Sen. Patty Murray earned support from 49 percent of likely voters in Washington in a matchup with Republican challenger Dino Rossi, who picked up 47 percent support.
Washington voters will select the two finalists in the race on Aug. 17 in a non-partisan primary. The general election is Nov. 2.
Also running are Democrats Charles Allen, Bob Burr, Goodspaceguy and Mike the Mover; Republicans Paul Akers, William Chovil, Clint Didier, Norma Gruber and Michael Latimer; and other candidates Will Baker (Reform Party), Schalk Leonard, Skip Mercer and Mohammad Said (Centrist Party).
Murray, a Bothell native, is a three-term Democratic incumbent. Rossi is known for two unsuccessful gubernatorial bids.
