Cascadia Community College is offering a new environmental technologies and sustainable practices degree this fall.
The program is designed to prepare students to enter the rapidly expanding fields of sustainability and renewable energy technology. It is the first two-year professional technical degree in Washington that is specifically focused on careers in sustainability.
Students enrolled in the environmental technologies and sustainable practices program will have the option to emphasize either business or technology in their coursework. Through hands-on training and internships with local companies, students will gain the experience they need to pursue careers as building technicians, resource conservation managers, energy efficiency managers and more.
People interested in learning more about the program or how to enroll for fall classes can attend the information session at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 9 in room CC1-230 at Cascadia. Contact Mike Renes at mrenes@cascadia.edu for information.
