The Cougars (3-2 KingCo, 5-2) remain locked in a battle with Eastlake for third in the Class 4A KingCo standings and the third of four playoff spots with two games remaining.

Senior Daniel Johnson opened the scoring with a 99-yard kickoff return to start the game.

Bothell led Issaquah 21-7 at halftime and scored midway through the third quarter, but Issaquah struck back on a 72-yard pass play from quarterback Lucas Senatore to Joe Nelson with just over eight minutes remaining in the third.

Junior Da’Vicious Wilson answered with a pick-6 to give Bothell a 35-14 lead.

Wilson finished with two receiving touchdowns, while Ryder Lockname caught four passes for 92 yards — including a 72-yard touchdown reception.

Bothell quarterback Jacob Sirmon completed 17 of 27 passing attempts for four touchdowns and 254 yards.

Against Issaquah, Bothell scored nearly as many points as in the games against Woodinville, Eastlake and Skyline combined. The Cougars have held teams to 21 points or less in five games.

Next, Bothell is scheduled to continue conference play against Newport on Friday, Oct. 21 at Pop Keeney Stadium.
