Northshore School District is seeking applicants for one opening for a parent/community member on the Curriculum Materials Adoption Committee (CMAC).

This voluntary position is appointed by the superintendent and has a three-year term. The sixteen-member committee of teachers, administrators and parent/community members is responsible for ensuring that the selection of appropriate instructional materials for Northshore School District students is conducted in a professional manner.

CMAC members must be willing to attend all monthly meetings and prepare for meetings by reading all documents submitted by sponsor groups. The committee will review core and supplementary materials submitted for consideration and make recommendations for approval to the school board.
