The Northlake Little League combined softball age 9, 10 and 11 all-stars won the District 8 title on July 9 with a 14-0 victory over Northeast/Queen Anne. Northlake Little League’s softball all-stars came up big with their bats, gloves and arms to win the District 8 title on July 9.

The combined age 9, 10 and 11 all-stars defeated Northeast/Queen Anne, 14-0, at Shorewood High and will start the state tournament on July 14. The locals will take on District 6 squad North Clark Little League at 1 p.m. at Shorewood High. The tourney will run through July 19-20.

In the district final, Cheyenne Christman pitched a complete-game two-hitter, Taylor Clear nailed an inside-the-park grand slam in the bottom of the first, Brooke Stull led the team with a 2-for-2 performance and Keala Painter had a team-leading five putouts.

Northlake is comprised of girls from Northlake Little League (10), North Bothell Little League (two) and Northshore Little League (two).
