Thompson’s 14 Ks lead Cedar Park to win | Prep baseball

The Cedar Park Christian baseball team earned an extra-inning victory,4-2, Thursday against Bellevue Christian in Bellevue.

Both teams scored their first run of the game during the fourth inning, but Bellevue took a one-run lead during the sixth inning.

The Eagles came back during their very next at-bat with a run of their own to tie the game. Cedar Park scored two runs during the eighth inning and held on for the win.

The Eagles were led by starting pitcher Josh Thompson, who pitched an eight inning complete game, striking out 14 batters while giving up just seven hits and a walk.

On offense both Josh McIntyre and Adrian Vela collected two hits.
