Eight new Northshore School District (NSD) alumni, former staff and volunteers were inducted to the Wall of Honor at the Pop Keeney Stadium on Aug. 15.

“The Wall of Honor centers around recognizing, honoring and memorializing the dedication of NSD alumni who have made unique and lasting contributions in their adult lives,” NSD Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid said. “Also around staff and volunteers whose legacy have left a far-reaching imprint on students or programs that are felt long after they have moved on after their district service.”

The 2019 inductees were Claire “Mimi” McLaughlin, David Shipway, Dr. Walter Sundstrom, Joanne E. Moore, Nancy Bacon, Pat Ellwood, and Royal Myles Donelson.

A reception followed the induction ceremony.

The Wall of Honor was created to recognize the outstanding achievements of NSD alumni, staff, and volunteers who made significant contributions to the community, state, nation, and world. The wall was unveiled on Sept. 15, 2010.
