National Health Week is from April 6-12, and is a time to dedicate to improving ones health and the health of those around you, whether through healthier eating or by getting more active.

According to the American Public Health Association, National Public Health Week is a time to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improving our nation.

Around Bothell, there are plenty of things to do to recognize contributions and highlight important health issues within the area.

Spring into a new you by heading out to the parks, such as Log Boom or Saint Edward’s State Park in Kenmore, or Park at Bothell Landing or Centennial Park in north Bothell.

There’s also events around town to learn more about how to keep healthy. Bastyr University is hosting ‘Start Spring Fresh with Detoxifying Foods’ from 10:30 a.m. to noon on April 11.
