The city of Bothell’s flags are lowered to half-staff today, as directed in a proclamation by President Obama in memory of and honoring Dorothy Height, a founding matriarch of the American civil-rights movement. She died April 27 at age 98.

Flags will remain at half-staff until the close of business today or first thing Friday morning.
