City of Kenmore seeking feedback on changes to Regional Business Zoning

An open house to gather public feedback on proposed zoning changes in the city of Kenmore’s Regional Business Zone will be held on Feb. 4 from 6:30–8 p.m. at Kenmore City Hall.

An open house to gather public feedback on proposed zoning changes in the city of Kenmore’s Regional Business Zone will be held on Feb. 4 from 6:30–8 p.m. at Kenmore City Hall. Staff will give a brief presentation on the project and the preliminary Planning Commission recommendations at 7:15 p.m.

The Regional Business Zone stretches along much of State Route 522 in Kenmore, but also includes significant waterfront properties—private marinas, Kenmore Air, the Glacier NW/CalPortland property and Lakepointe—as well as the Plywood Supply property and Kenmore Square area.

Proposed changes include new definitions for land uses and recommendations for prohibited uses in eight subareas of the Regional Business Zone. The Planning Commission will be making a final recommendation to the City Council later this year, after considering public comment and input.

Kenmore City Hall is located at 18120 68th Ave. NE.
