Class schedule for Northshore Senior Center Spring 2016

The Northshore Senior Center will be offering four classes for this spring’s Lifelong Learning program.

The Northshore Senior Center will be offering four classes for this spring’s Lifelong Learning program.

Classes include ‘Encore – The Third State of Life’, exploring developing skills, talents, interests and friendships during retirement. Classes meet on Tuesdays for eight sessions from April 5 through June 7 at 10:30 a.m. to noon and costs $75 for members and $150 for nonmembers.

‘Living in a Global World’ will explore diversity and cultural changes in today’s world. The class will explore the issues of recent migrations, culture, refugees, new creativity and ways of thinking based on interactions. The class meets Mondays weekly from April 4 to June 6 from 10:30 a.m. to noon and costs $75 for members and $150 for nonmembers.

‘Tell Your Own Story’ gives people a chance to share their stories with friends and family and write a memoir. Classes meet Wednesdays from April 6 through June 1 from 10:30 a.m. to noon and are free.

‘A Brief History of Japanese Art and Design’ is an examination of Zen influences on Japanese painting, block printing, pottery, architecture and gardens. Classes meet April 6, April 20, May 4 and May 18 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and costs $40 for members and $80 for nonmembers.
